RECYCLE TO RECREATE
Recycle and Recreate Projects has the purpose of awakening social and environmental aspect importance perception in the whole staff, so that each one does his/her part, and collaborates not only with the environment, but also with the society. It comprises gathering recyclable materials with the collaborators and their families, reversing the value collects in school material, donated to collaborators´children who study in public schools. Recycle and Recreate Program targets the sales revenue from recyclable residues to social projects supported by Instituto Carlos Roberto Hansen (ICRH). IN 2020, R$ 135,886.69 were invested in the program, benefiting 21,204 people. Such actions are performed in Joinville (SC) and Rio Claro (SP).
SANITATION FOR COMMUNITIES
In partnership with Biosaneamento, impact business focused in contributing to the basic sanitation universalization, Tigre Water & Effluents (TAE) has taken part of an action led by Instituto Iguá, with the purpose of implementing sewage collection and treatment in Vila Morais community, in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo metropolitan area.
By means of the Single-Family Sewage Treatment Station Unity (UNIFAM) technology we ensure 90% of efficiency in domestic sewage treatment, surpassing regulatory requirements. Being compact, it does not require license to be installed, different from the pit, solution used by half Brazilian population. Besides, the cleaning process does not generate smell and has low energy consumption (15 watt-hour per user) and relative cost (around 5 thousand Reais per device)
BUILDING THE FUTURE
With the purpose of helping clients and services renderers in controlling Covid-19 spreading, Tigre signed partnership with Fix, home maintenance startup. In this campaign, R$ 100.00 discount vouchers were released to support clients that need maintenance services at home. On the other end, actions enabled paying future renovation to construction professionals who had no job.
Besides the repairs services discounts, home improvements and maintenance and the financial resources release to professionals, the company organized several lives for professional qualification.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY
In recent years the Company expanded partnership with Eureciclo to compensate post-consumption packages all around the corner. Besides ensure Eureciclo seal use, which contributes to communicate the consumers about the company´s sustainability actions. In 2020, recycling fostered by the company was around 506 tons packages, being 175 tons plastic and 331 tons paper.
Eureciclo certifies packages reverse logistics from companies all around Brazil, by means of a technology platform that tracks recycling chain data and checks the scalability consistency to the process, providing the industry with certificates of strong and clear recycling. To do so, it uses the environmental compensation model, which comprises ensuring a residue mass equals to the ones of packages that a company place at the market targeted to recycling.
